Join us this summer in gorgeous, serene Vermont.

Think part spiritual journey, part girlfriend getaway. Created especially for you and smart, savvy, like-minded Jewish women of all ages and backgrounds.

Imagine...

Stunning hikes with awesome vistas. Delicious kosher cuisine prepared fresh daily. Full days of study with the finest educators around, headlined by Rabbi Manis Friedman.

And the honest conversations you literally won’t find anywhere else.

This Summer's Educators

Bais Chana’s A-List educators are smart, insightful, funny and excited for your questions.

Rabbi Manis Friedman

RABBI MANIS FRIEDMAN is an internationally acclaimed lecturer, educator, author, counselor and YouTube's most popular rabbi.

Friedman will challenge our assumptions about pretty much everything we hold near and dear so hold on for the ride.  We'll talk about how to create strong family bonds that can weather anything. The journey of the Jewish soul, where it is before birth and after death. What to do about antisemitism. The meaning of fate and free will. How to make your most important relationships more loving, and how to live with more dignity and humility - in a world that values neither.

Signatures (4)

ITTY KAY is a passionate and compassionate teacher of Torah. Jump into the deep end of Jewish learning as Kay cracks open the Chassidic holy books with enthusiasm, peels back layers of superficiality and lets you peek at the world and yourself through the eyes of the Chassidic Masters.

Kay is the force behind Bais Chana's weekly online classes, spending hours answering students questions and clarifying the finer points of each subject. Join her by signing up at www.baischana.org/online.

Freidy Yanover

FREIDY YANOVER is a brilliant and engaging teacher, who grounds each of her talks in a teaching from Kabbalah or Chassidut. Despite what that might suggest, she’s down to earth, very practical and wants to help you live the things you learn.

You can count on Freidy for clarity, depth and that all-too rare ingredient in education today - intellectual honesty. She's a lifestyle mentor for individuals, couples and families, and a passionate EFT practitioner and therapist.

Catch up with her at the retreat if you want to hear more about that.

Check back as we update our line-up of A-list educators.

FAQs
Will the 2 sessions have different agendas and topics?
Yes, the material for each session is different so you can feel confident attending both.
What's the difference between the 2 sessions?
Session 1 is Mon to Thurs, all weekdays. There's more note-taking, if you're a note-taking kind of person, with 3 periods in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and one after dinner. Session 2 starts with Thurs/Fri, which is scheduled like Session 1, and is followed by a Shabbat which has a rhythm all its own - Kiddush dinner and lunch are more laid back.
What are the accommodations like?
We're staying in a lodge, not in a hotel. It's simple and clean, and the beds are all new. There's a classroom and dining room, and we're the only ones in the lodge at the time so we have complete privacy. You're going to love the women-only aspect of this.
What's the age range of the women coming?

Mainly 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s. The intergenerational conversations mean we all get to learn from each other. It's special.

Is there a dress code?
No, please come as you are! Think casual! If you're going to be there over Shabbat, you'll probably want to bring something nicer.
Do I need to know Hebrew?
Not at all! Any text that we use will be translated.
Can you connect me with other women who are driving in?
Yes, absolutely. Just let us know where you're coming from or if you're flying into Albany, and we'll be happy to match you up with someone coming from the same area.
Are all the rooms doubles?
Yes, all the rooms are doubles so if you have a friend who's joining, please let us know so we can put you in the same room.
Are there any private rooms?
We have a waiting list for private rooms and we'll only know as we get much closer, about 4 days before. You can get on the waiting list by signing up for a double and letting us know you prefer a private; or by emailing info@baischana.org with your name and phone number and the session you prefer.
